Discontinued. The Prime u-Pr1-13 is a bought-back small GPS geo-locating and alerting tracker with a 7-10 day battery.  It comes fitted with a SIM card to make it work straight from its box.  It is very technically advanced and offers a wide range of operating options completely under the control of the customer.  No monitoring centre needs to be involved. The Prime1 is a superceded model and varying stock levels apply.

When switched on, it sends out position reports at time intervals set by the user, via GPRS to a secure database system, where they can be viewed seconds later, giving almost "real-time" viewing of where the device is when it last reported.  This makes it superior to old-fashioned trackers that need to be texted to report their position, or logger devices that need their data to be downloaded to a computer.

Our range of devices use two technologies: 1) the GPRS cell phone networks (masts), and 2) the GPS satelite navigation system overhead.  The tracker's GPS module, which is very advanced and sensitive, deduces the device's latitude and longtitude, which the internal modem reports sends to a secure server.  These packets collectively create breadcrumb trails across a (Google-type) map when viewed on a computer or smart-phone, iPad or computer.  The Prime1 contains a 2G modem, which is still likely to remain one of the main tiers of the world's mobile phone infrastructure.

The user has access to an App and a Web-App (doesn't require the downloading of any software) to view their tracker's position or change the device's settings.  There is a Web-App for small screen devices like phones and another for large screen devices like computers. Together these provide a user-friendly interfaces for any device.

Motion alerts:   The Prime Pr1-13 tracker also contain an accelerometer to detect motion.  This allows it to detect when it starts moving.  When the tracker is not moving, as determined by its internal accelerometer, the device goes to sleep and reverts to a heartbeat report interval of 4 hours.  Motion detected by the accelerometer wakes the tracker and recommences the sending of position reports.  If a user has turned on (armed) the device's Motion Detection, the motion will lead to a motion alert to any contacts set in Settings.

Zone alerts:   Up to 3 zones or virtual perimeters can be defined to alert particular people by SMS or email if the tracker leaves or enters defined locations.

SOS/Panic button:   The large oval shaped button on the front of the Prime1 tracker is a function key configured as an SOS panic/emergency button that, which when pressed for more than 4secs, will send an alert  by either SMS or email, to up to 4 Contacts.  These Contact numbers/email addresses are defined in the Settings page. If no recipients are defined, no alerts will occur.  Holding the button too long may cause a second message to be sent. Protecting or shielding the button position may be required to prevent unintentional alerts. Each alert uses one SMS credit.

Battery modes:   The Prime Pr1-13 contains a rechargeable battery with a life of 5-7 days between charges, depending on the intensity of use, i.e. the frequency of sending position reports, and the proportion of time spent in motion.  The more frequently reports are sent, the greater the drain on the battery.  Obviously, there are advantages in connecting to an external power source if available, such as a car's 12Vdc supply using a USB adaptor.  There is an option to change to Eco mode, whereby the device completely powers off between scheduled position reports.  This greatly extends the battery life, making it last months at the expense of position reports becoming less frequent.  Devices are shipped with Eco and Park mode enabled even though customers can get confused if they don't understand how it works. The device also sends an alert when/if its battery level drops below 20%.

Dimensions:  Being very compact, it can be fitted into most spaces or it can be attached to a possession, person, pet, etc., using basic accessories.  Its dimensions are 6.8 x 3.7 x 1.9cm. It is water resistant, not waterproof, and so must be appropriately enclosed in wet, dirty or dusty environments using appropriate enclosures.

2. to set the time interval between position reports;
3. to view the emergency/panic button status indicators;
4. to turn the virtual perimeter (Geo-Fence) on and off, and position and size the zones (up to 5); 
5. to turn on/off (arm) the motion detection function;
6. to set times of On and Off for Auto-arming motion detection function;
7. to send commands (SMS) to the tracker to change its settings*
8. to send a command (SMS) to get the device to report its position immediately*;
9. to switch between Normal and Eco mode (on/off);
10. to view previous position reports / history as breadcrumb trails on a map, with or without animation (Play);
11. to export the data from a journey to Excel or CSV;
12. to turn off the alarm, following an alert;

*  Those setting alterations that use an SMS credit are asterisked, the others don't.
