The Vector100 is a tracker in a watertight ABS box and an external waterproof IP67 USB Mini-B (5pin) charging port. It was designed for use in a range of hostile usage conditions.  It is reasonably small and compact and so will fit in tight places.  It has a strong rigid ABS box enclosing the tracker with two strong rare earth (Neodymium) magnets externally mounted to allow its attachment to ferrous surfaces.  As with any GPS tracker, it cannot be enclosed by metal on all sides.  The tracker's antennae are below its top surface (opposite flanged side), which must face an accessway to the outside world.

It has the same technical characteristics as a Prime2 tracker.  Its sensitive antenna, 50 channel GPS receiver, uBlox GPS chipset and modem gives excellent speed and responsiveness. Each device comes with a pre-installed SIM card and some free credits for initial usage.

It measures Length= 110mm (including cap), Width= 73mm, Thickness= 40mm (including magnets) and weighs 320gms and 425gms boxed.  It does not need a wireless charging mat.

It is dust- and water-proof to IP67 provided the USB cap ison and tightly fitted. It does not have an on/off switch or any indicating LEDs, and is controlled from the Tracking Panel and other user interfaces.  Its status and charge level can be viewed in the Track Panel.  It will send an alert when its battery level drops below 20%.

The battery capacity is 10000mAh (10Ah), giving it about 3 months battery life under normal tracking use. This battery life can be greatly extended to as much as 12-18 months in Battery-Save mode. In this mode, the device completely powers down between position reports and "wakes up" up in time to send its next position report, then powers down again.  When in Battery Save mode, the Track Panel indicate its next scheduled wake-up / report time.  NB To change any of its setting when in Battery Save mode, it is necessary to wait until its next wakeup. The Vector100 tracker has a 1 year warranty and comes with a mains charger and USB lead.  It has a 3G modem and comes pre-fitted with a SIM and initial free credits but further credits should be purchased.
