The FMT100 is an IP65 Teltonika GPS tracker with a pre-installed SIM intended for direct attachment to battery terminals. It uses the Trackserver phone app, and trackserver.ie web-app.
It is ideal for, and designed for vehicles of any description, especially for insurance telematics, car hire, rental/leased vehicles, taxi, courier services, etc.
It comes ready to use when connected to power. It has a huge 35x35mm square internal ceramic GPS antenna and 2 40cm long pre-crimped U terminals for battery connection.
Installation could not be easier - just loosen the battery clamp screws and slide the red or black connector into place, then re-tighten.
It has an internal step-down 10-30V voltage adaptor, and a small internal Li ion 170mAh battery to allow short periods of disconnection. The battery over-voltage protection turns on at 34V, with the tracker turning off.
It has onboard memory for data collection (Flash 128MB for 422,400 records) and upload following GPRS network disconnection/re-connection.
It has a 3M VHB double-sided adhesive foam tape on its back to adhere to a suitable surface. The mounting location needs to allow for the best possible reception of satellite radio signals to prevent high power consumption. This is not always easy in a battery compartment. It is a compact size and should fit almost anywhere.
Like any Teltonika device, it can connect by Bluetooth to external devices and Low Energy sensors, such as Temperature sensors, and report in this data along with GPS information.
Like any Teltonika device, it can not only detect a collision. If so configured, on a Telematic platform, it can be made to report in "Crash Trace Data" which is accelerometer data during (up to) the 15 secs before & after a collision event at 100Hz (100 accellerometer values per second) to allow re-visualisation of the incident. Teltonika have special software tools to help do this. If you require this option, you need to let us know at time of order.
The printed face (front) of the tracker covers the 2 antennae, and flashing LEDs, which may need to be covered to conceal the LEDs and obscure its purpose/function. A 4x8cm label would cover its technical properties/branding, with a possible inscription describing it as a battery conditioner, or suchlike.
Teltonika devices are manufactured in the EU (Lithuania).

Summary
The Teltonika FMT100 has two available modes of operation - Normal operation (28mA) and Deep online Sleep (7mA) modes. It is an exceptionally flexible tracker with many alerting options available through based on configurable scenarios, including motion via its internal accelerometer and its Bluetooth 4.0 communication interface.
